IKTU Studio was founded by Carlota Porto de Barros and Jeroen Henckens as a Lisbon-based interior design practice specializing in residential and hospitality projects. Combining Carlota’s design sensibility and extensive experience in high-end interiors with Jeroen’s multidisciplinary background in economics and entrepreneurship, the studio brings together creative vision and rigorous project execution.

Carlota began her career in interior design and later managed the Molteni&C Flagship Store on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon, where she developed a deep understanding of luxury furniture, client experience, and curated spaces. Jeroen, originally from Belgium, built his career across different fields in marketing and strategy, before transitioning into interior design, adding a strategic and operational perspective to the studio’s work.

At IKTU Studio, every project is guided by a commitment to creating spaces that are intentional and timeless. Their approach balances contemporary design with warmth, functionality, and attention to detail. From private homes to hospitality concepts, the studio integrates interior design, styling, and creative direction to deliver cohesive and highly personalized environments.

In addition to its independent projects, IKTU Studio collaborates closely with SAGA on high-end residential and hospitality developments. This partnership is rooted in a shared vision of thoughtful living, and experience-driven design.
