Mariana Pires da Silva
After a career built in France across politics, institutions and major corporations, she returned to Portugal to shape SAGA GROUP from a founding vision and a set of companies, assets and projects.
She played a defining role in establishing the Group’s identity, strategy and structure. She works directly on the development of its key real estate, hospitality and investment projects, with a cross-functional remit that ensures alignment across areas, teams and priorities.
Her work is centred on the continuity and evolution of the vision that gave rise to SAGA, as the Group prepares for a new phase of growth and expansion.
Before joining SAGA, she built a career in Paris at the heart of the main centres of power and decision-making. She held roles in political parties, the French National Assembly and the Senate, where she served as Chief of Staff.
In the private sector, she joined a leading French consultancy, advising administrations, senior executives and major international groups on positioning, transformation, influence and high-complexity crisis management. She also taught Public Communication at the Sorbonne.
She holds degrees from the University of Coventry and the Institut Catholique de Paris, with further training in European Affairs at the École Nationale d’Administration and in public security policy and crisis management at the Institut des Hautes Études of the French Ministry of the Interior.
Her career has always sat at the intersection of power, decision and responsibility — experience she now applies to the consolidation and development of SAGA GROUP.
